Abstract:
The foam dust suppression technique demonstrates considerable potential for development and exhibits a significant impact on ameliorating coal mine dust pollution. The foam agent formula serves as a pivotal element in determining the efficiency of foam dust suppression, with key factors influencing the formula encompassing the foaming capability of the surfactant solution, the stability of the foam, and the wetting action towards dust. On this basis, this paper introduces a novel foam dust suppression agent formula prepared by enhancing the Ross-Miles method. The agents within the formula are designed to exert superior synergistic effects, thereby enhancing the comprehensive performance stability of the solution. The manuscript further analyzes the alterations in the efficacy parameters of composite agents relative to the singular agents, delineating the interactive mechanisms underpinning their performance. Initially, the foaming capabilities and stability of the individual foaming agent solution are evaluated, with the concentration of the solution yielding the optimal performance parameters being identified. Subsequently, various stabilizing agents are integrated into the chosen foaming agent solution, and the foaming capabilities and stability of the resulting composite solution are evaluated to determine the optimal stabilizing agent and its precise concentration, aiming to obtain a compound solution with various surfactant combinations. Finally, a wetting agent is introduced into the compound solution to enhance its wetting properties. Eventually, the optimal surfactant solution with the most synergistic effect and comprehensive performance is identified, and the concentration combination is ascertained as the novel formula for foam dust suppression. The experimental findings indicate that the surfactant solution exhibiting optimal performance parameters is obtained through the blending of a modified alkyl glucoside at a concentration of 0.7%, carboxymethyl cellulose at a concentration of 0.1%, and sinkonium glucoside at a concentration of 0.1%. It has been determined that the modified alkyl glucoside: carboxymethyl cellulose: sinkonium glucoside in a 7∶1∶1 ratio can serve as an efficacious solution for the preparation of a novel foam dust suppression agent formulation, which will markedly enhance the efficacy of foam dust suppression.
