Abstract:
In the context of sustainable development, enterprises, governments and other interest groups began to re-examine the relationship between mineral development and local communities to seek a more sustainable way. On the issue of building sustainable mining community, resource-rich countries and regions in the world have accumulated some experience, organizations and researchers have put forward some theoretical methods and tools, which are helpful to establish residents' benefit-sharing mechanisms and protect the sustainable development of mining regions. This paper focuses on sustainable development in mining communities, elaborating on the existing policy, methods, analytical framework and tools in the mining countries and regions, then conduct a comparative analysis.
