Abstract: The present international and home situations of mine closure planning are summarized and analyzed in this paper,whose significance in China is discussed.The problem of mine closure is a severe one that influences Chinese economical development and social stabilization.There are great theoretical and practical significances to study mine closure planning in China,which is the concrete representation for China to respond to global environmental protection and carry through Chinese 21^st Century Agenda,solving thoroughly Four Mine problems including mine industry,mine area,mine worker and mine city to create conditions for economical transformation of mine area,being objective gist and important guarantee to processing affairs after mine is closed,being the necessity to setting down the technical criteria of mine closure planning and lawmaking for Chinese progressive reforming.
