Abstract: The paper describes the destruction of mineral coal and other resource depletion and ecological environment status suffered during the long mining of Wuhai city.Based on the actual,active transformation,Wuhai city implements the diversified strategy of the new-type orientation of traditional industry、the large-scale of emerging industry、the diversification of pillar industry,to create the urban economic and social system with the competitive and sustainable development ability.As regional economy more developed、in the maturity stage of coal resource-based city,the successful transition experiences of Wuhai city are as follows:extending the industrial chain,for promoting the transformation of traditional industries;restoring of mining abandoned land,vigorously develop the "green industry";adhering to a high starting point transformation,to achieve industrial upgrading and industrial change;taking the regional advantages,promotes the leading diversified industrial structure.
