Abstract:
In Zambia Lufilian Arc area belong to Lufilian Arc copper-cobalt belt of the Gold-copper-iron-tungsten-tin-niobium-tantalum and diamond metallogenic provinces of the Central Africa Craton.Muva Supergroup, Roan Group, Nguba Group and Kundelungu Group formed in the Belt. There have some emerald, copper-cobalt-gold-uranium and copper-cobalt deposits(occurrences).Emerald deposits are closely related to pegmatite of the Muva Supergroup and representative deposits include Anzan, Wumu, Kamakanga and Kagem.Copper-cobalt-gold-uranium deposits are closely related to schists and gneiss of the Lufubu Supergroup and representative deposit includes Lumwana.Copper-cobalt deposits are closely related to shale or sandstone of the Roan Group and representative deposits include Chambishi, Luanshya, Nchanga and Chililabombwe.According to the all data we divide the Lufilian Arc area into three prospecting potential and conducted a preliminary analysis of the prospecting potential. We can provide geological data and scientific basis for the expansion of Chinese mining enterprises and mineral exploitation right registration which are fit for mineral resources exploration and exploitation of “go global” strategy of national implementation.
