The effect of coal gangue pile on soil enzymatic activities

    • Heavy metal concentrations and soil enzymatic activities were measured in soil around the coal gangue pile the Shanjia village Yulong mine, Qufu city, Shandong province. The results show as follows:the piling-up of coal gangue is an important source of environmental pollution, and most heavy metals from coal gangue are absorbed by soil. All of the measured heavy metals(Cr6+、Pb and Hg) in soil are above detection limits. Moreover, some concentrations of Pb and Hg have exceeded the secondary standard of Standard of Soil Environmental Quality(GB15618—1995).The analysis of variance between soil enzymatic and heavy metals effections shows that Pb is the major factors to bacteria, and the major factor effects actinomycete and molds is Hg.
