    Study on the clarifying properties of conical-disk cone swirling clarifier

    • In order to solve the problems of the traditional coal mine water treatment process with high cost and large equipment occupation area, a cone-disk cyclone clarifier is proposed and designed.The CFD technology is used to numerically simulate the internal flow field of the cone-disk cyclone clarifier.The influence of material speed and cone insertion depth on its clarification performance is verified by experiments.The results show that within a certain range, increasing the insertion depth of the cone disk can increase the turbulent kinetic energy to improve the clarification performance; increasing the feed rate can also increase the turbulent kinetic energy, but when the feed rate exceeds 1.6 m/s, if the kinetic energy is too large, the disturbance effect on the flocs is too large, which is not conducive to the improvement of the clarification performance.When the feed rate is 1.6 m/s and the cone insertion depth is 400 mm, the solid suspended matter removal rate can reach 92.1% and the turbidity removal rate can reach 59.8%.
