Abstract
The Xiangbeishan copper polymetallic deposit in Tibet is located in the eastern section of Gangdese porphyry-skarn copper polymetallic mineralization, sandwiched between Jiama and Qulong super-large porphyry-skarn deposits. Xiangbeishan copper polymetallic deposit is a porphyry-skarn deposit, which is a part of Jiama polycentric complex porphyry metallogenic system. The hydrothermal alteration of Xiangbeishan copper polymetallic deposit is mainly skarnization, silicification and sericitization, and the mineralization types are mainly skarn mineralization and porphyry mineralization, and copper and molybdenum are the main ore-forming elements, associated with gold and silver. The skarn ore bodies mainly occur in the contact zone between porphyry and marble as well as between hornfels and marble. The results of metallogenic geological conditions, geochemical exploration and hyperspectral alteration extraction indicate that Xiangbeishan has the potential to form large porphyry-skarn Cu-Mo (Au, Ag).
