Research on the security strategy of barite resources under the background of “dual-carbon” economy

By studying the distribution, consumption structure, usage, and supply-demand situation of domestic barite resources under the background of “dual-carbon” economy, this paper analyzes the impact and influence of the “dual-carbon” economy on the security of barite resources. Believing that the development of barite resources based on the strategy of “exploiting the rich resource and abandoning the poor”, the inefficient and extensive layout of the barite industry, and the “cost-effective” export trade are no longer suitable for the social and economic development under the background of “dual carbon” economy. Suggestions are proposed in four aspects: maintaining supply, adjusting exports, improve recycling efficiency, and integrating a global landscape to address the new challenges faced by the security of barite resources under the background of “dual-carbon” economy.
