Abstract: The exploitation of mineral resources brings great benefits at the same time, forcing the land use types, quantity, quality, distribution and ecological function to be severely disrupted.Studying on intensity change of land use types can further reveal the change information of the land use type, monitor the land use/cover status dynamically, and provide reference for the sustainable use of land resources and scientific planning.This article takes Wuan city as a case study, based on the data of land use in 2005, 2009 and 2014, use the method of strength analysis, systematically to explain the three levels of strength changes in Wuan City, and to analyse the different levels of stabilityin depth, to determine the characteristics of the intensity of change and potential land changes.Research indicates: interval hierarchy, the change of land use type from 2005 to 2009 is relatively rapid and obviously higher than the average change intensity, the intensity of land use change in 2009-2014 is the opposite; land class hierarchy, changes are more active in Industrial and mining storage land, woodland and garden, cultivated land changes relative to dormancy throughout the time interval, other land classes vary at different time intervals; transition level, the increase in industrial and mining storage land mainly comes from water and water conservancy facilities land and garden, reduction is mainly converted to non-industrial construction land.
