Abstract: Aiming geological information services are information services that are provided by providing,disseminating and processing geological data, information and knowledge, and providing software maintenance.With the advent of the era of big data, geosciences and big data combined with each other, making the field of geological information is more extensive, the content of the service is more abundant and practical, service products are more varied and convenient.Australia, one of the major western developed countries, has a leading position in the comprehensive level of its geological information service,and the Geosciences Australian (GA) is Australia’s most authoritative geological survey.This paper will introduces the relevant examples of GA geological information service, analyzes its development and utilization model of geological information and the reasons for its excellent service level and compares with China, and probes into the content and development direction of GA geological information service, hoping to provide reference for the construction of a first-class geological information service system in china.
