Abstract: In the new era, the main mode of mineral exploration is green exploration, and aiming at the breakthrough of prospecting and environmental protection.This paper defines the connotation and extension of green exploration, analyzes the current situation of laws and regulations in the field of mineral exploration environment in China, and analyzes the environmental access conditions and key points of environmental permit of mineral exploration projects in Queensland, Australia.It is concluded that China government has a threshold for environmental access to geological exploration activities, but compared with the developed mining countries, the overall regulations are relative principle and lacking specific implementation rules.To refine environmental protection requirements in mineral exploration process can be used as a way to promote green exploration in the future.
