Abstract: Guizhou province is rich in basalt resources, concentrated in distribution and low in exploration.At present, basalt resources are mainly used for building stones with low added value.However, high added value products such as fiber materials produced from basalt have appeared, such as basalt fiber production lines put into operation by two enterprises, such as Guizhou Shixin Basalt Technology Co., Ltd.in Guizhou province, which can produce more than 15 000 tons of basalt fiber.At the same time, 47 fiber basalt development zones with a total area of 330 square kilometers have been preliminarily delineated, which laid a good foundation for the development of basalt.In order to better exploit and utilize basalt resources and better transform resource advantages into economic advantages, suggestions on building basalt fiber industry and resource distribution in Guizhou province are put forward on the basis of previous work.
