Abstract: Geological data work is the most direct channel and window for the external service of geological work.Because the geological data workers themselves are not well-informed, the leadership pays less attention to it, the publicity of the collections is not targeted, and the form of propaganda is single, resulting in many publics not understanding the geological data work and geological data collection institutions.It is not conducive to the long-term stable development of geological data work.In view of the above situation, this paper puts forward the methods and ideas for strengthening the publicity work of geological data, that is, paying attention to social hotspots, selecting geological data propaganda topics, strengthening the integration of geological data resources, enriching the forms of geological data products, and strengthening cooperation with traditional media.And pay attention to the use of new media, so as to continue to expand the publicity channels of geological data and geological data work, and constantly improve the social influence and visibility of geological work and collection institutions.
