Abstract: Overseas geological data is an important basic data for ensuring China’s resource security and helping to “going global” for international cooperation.Due to the lack of unified oversea geological data storage, management and service mechanisms, a large amount of data scattered in various units, insufficient data sharing and limited information service scope and capabilities have seriously hindered China’s participation in global resource and environmental governance.The process has also caused waste of funds.In order to effectively improve the capacity and level of oversea geological data services, analyzes the current status of geological data management services, accelerate the collection and management of oversea geological data, integrate effective resources, and enhance the service capacity and utilization level of oversea geological data.In order to promote the implementation of China’s “Belt and Road” Initiative and international cooperation in geosciences are great significance.
