Abstract:
The burnt rock is a special kind of rock formed from surrounding rock baked by coal seam spontaneous combustion.Based on the characteristics of the burnt rock, the author reviews the hydrogeological and engineering geological problems of burnt rocks in ecologically fragile mining areas, from the aspect of hydrogeological problems, engineering geological problems, physical and mechanical properties and the sustainable utilization of solid waste, and summarizes the new behoof of burnt rock as modified building material and mine filling material combined the concept of "Resource utilization, Waste revaluation", and ultimately, the author puts forward the potential possibility of burnt rock becoming a geological tourist landscape.Based on the laboratory experiments, the cohesive force and internal friction angle of the shear strength index increase with the increase of burnt rock solid waste particles content.According to the present situation and prospect of the study on burnt rock in ecologically fragile mining area, we can make further comprehension about the engineering effect of burnt rock and achieve the sustainable utilization of burnt rock.
