Experimental study on washability of slime in a gold mine

Abstract: There is a large amount of slime in the production process of a gold mine. Mixing this part of slime into the main flotation process will greatly affect the grade of flotation products and the recovery of gold. Through the particle size analysis and metal distribution analysis of the samples, it is found that the content of - 400 mesh in the slime is 96.23%, which is a micro fine-grained mineral, and the distribution rate of gold in this particle size reaches 96.75%. In the test, water glass was used to suppress the slime, and jinchuling and ammonium butyrate black were used as collectors for flotation. A gold concentrate with a yield of 2.38%, a grade of 32.55g/t and a recovery of 68.79% was obtained, and the gold grade in the tailings was 0.36g/t.
