Abstract: Bayan Obo Ore is an important national strategic energy security base. The research progress of this mine area is summarized to provide reference for the future research direction and ideas. This paper takes the academic papers of the research on Bayan Obo Ore before November 2022 in CNKI database as the research object, uses CiteSpace 6.1.R3 software to conduct visual knowledge graph analysis from the aspects of the number of publications, authors, research institutions, co-citation, keyword emergence, etc. The research status, research hotspot and frontier trends of Bayan Obo Ore are analyzed. The results show that remarkable research achievements have been achieved since 2000, the number of published papers has increased rapidly, and stable research institutions and research teams have been formed. However, the co-citation of literature and the keyword emergence map show that the research is mostly focused on the rare earth direction. After 2014, the preliminary exploration of fluorite is conducted. With the importance of energy security, the next step is to strengthen the comprehensive utilization of Bayan Obo polymetallic co-associated deposits in multidisciplinary integration. Through this study, aim to provide reference for researchers and decision-makers related to the Bayan Obo Ore, and promote its sustainable development.
