Abstract:
The prevention and control of water hazards in mining is the primary task to ensure safe mining in water-rich mines. This paper addresses the development of water hazard prevention and control technologies and equipment in China’s non-coal mines in recent years, introducing the characteristics of water hazards in non-coal mines, water-inrush sources, manifestations, and prevention methods. Based on the features and prevention and control approaches of non-coal mine water hazards under the new safety context, it outlines the current status of water hazard prevention technologies, water hazard detection technologies, and water hazard management technologies, including multi-parameter hydrodynamic monitoring systems, water hazard early warning systems, automated mine drainage systems, hydrogeochemical detection technologies, and physical exploration technologies. It also elaborates on water hazard prevention and control technologies such as surface curtain grouting technology, underground near-orebody curtain grouting technology, and controlled dewatering technology. Focusing on the development trends of water hazard prevention technology under the new safety situation, it discusses the characteristics and causes of water hazards in non-coal mines, the scientific challenges faced, and technological development trends, including big-data-based water hazard decision systems, groundwater resource protection, and technology trends integrating exploration, construction, mining, backfilling, and water management. It argues that the prevention and control of water hazards in non-coal mines should adopt a comprehensive approach encompassing water hazard prevention, resource protection, and pollution control. There is a need to enhance detailed exploration of hidden factors contributing to water hazards, strengthen the belief that “water hazard accidents can be prevented and controlled”, shift the focus of water hazard management forward through advanced treatment, transform potential water hazard risks into pre-incident prevention, and proactively improve the technical level of water hazard prevention and control.
