Abstract: Geological data is the objective record of geologists exploring the Earth. It has high social and economic value and is a precious wealth of the country and society. In the informatization age, the importance of geological data collection is becoming more and more important. This paper introduces the related documents of geological data collection, combined with the actual work, introduces some problems that are easy to appear in the process of collecting geological data of achievements, original geological data and physical geological data, and puts forward to strengthen the consciousness of collecting geological data by law; to carry out relevant business training; to improve staff quality; to set up exchange commissioner; to ensure exchange efficient and smooth measures.
