Abstract:
To clarify the research hotspots and frontier trends in the field of urban mining, this paper uses knowledge graph visualization and bibliometric methods, and employs Web of Science literature data and CiteSpace software to quantitatively analyze the characteristics of publication time, journals, authors, research institutions, and highly cited literature of urban mining research in global. Through keyword co-occurrence, keyword clustering, extraction of emergent words, and time zone graph analysis, it reveals the research hotspots and frontier trends of urban mining research. The research results show that the annual number of publications of urban mining research in global generally shows an increasing trend. An author group centered on scholars such as CHEN Weiqiang, LIU Gang, and GRAEDEL, et al. and a research institution group centered on the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, and Yale University have been formed, with close cooperation. Keywords such as “urban mining” “in-use stocks” “material flow analysis”, and “circular economy” frequently appear and have high centrality, reflecting that resource stock research, circular economy concepts, and economic feasibility research are the current core themes. Future urban mining research will focus on issues such as innovation and optimization of resource recycling technologies, dynamic monitoring and data analysis, systematic research on circular economy models, and comprehensive research on policy and social factors. The research in this paper can help scientific researchers and decision-makers quickly understand and master the research status and trend direction in the field of urban mining, and provide important reference value for promoting in-depth research and scientific decision-making on urban mining.
