Abstract:
Against the backdrop of Industry 4.0 and the construction of smart mines, mine automation systems are undergoing a transformation and upgrade from single equipment control to full-process intelligence. This paper addresses the critical issues currently present in the field of mine automation, such as prominent system heterogeneity, severe data silos, and inconsistent protocol standards, by proposing a system integration solution based on intelligent gateways. An intelligent gateway architecture system supporting multi-protocol conversion has been constructed, enabling data interoperability among mining equipment monitoring systems, mineral processing equipment monitoring systems, and mine hoisting systems through standardized conversion of industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA and Modbus TCP/IP. By combining with a practical case of a large-scale mine, this paper provides technical support for solving the “information chimney” problem of mine automation systems. The establishment of a unified industrial IoT platform effectively promotes the digital upgrade of production management decision-making and propels the mining industry towards the intelligent 3.0 phase.
