Abstract: In the first half of 2025, affected by the US tariff trade policies and other factors, the sluggish global economy continues to impact China’s economic development. As a core element of economic development, the land market shows a trend of structural adjustment. The export restrictions on mineral products and the decline in the prices of new energy minerals have an impact. Although the surveying, mapping and geographic information market expanded, the revenue of traditional surveying and mapping services continues to decline. China’s economy benefits from a series of “combination punches” for stable growth and incremental policies, and maintains a stable and positive economic operation. Despite the increase in trade frictions, it still achieves medium-speed growth. Based on the research of the natural resource supply index, combined with the development trends of the land market, the mining rights market and the surveying, mapping and geographic information industry in the first half of 2025, it is concluded that the current supply growth rate of natural resource elements in China shows a good coordination with GDP growth. The land elements are rationally allocated, and the supply structure is continuously optimized, providing spatial support for the cultivation of new industries and new business forms and promoting the formation of industrial agglomeration advantages. The investment in strategic mineral mining rights has been continuously increased, and market confidence has been enhanced. The revenue situation of the top 100 geographic information enterprises has improved, and the intensity of R&D investment has been continuously increased, which has contributed to the stable and sustainable development of strategic emerging industries. In the second half of 2025, the natural resource system should continue to focus on promoting the reuse of “existing space” and driving the long-term development of the land market through the “urban renewal” mechanism; accelerating the establishment of a full-chain management system for advantageous strategic mineral resources to promote the continuous improvement of the mining market; increasing the intensity of technological innovation to drive the sustainable development of the surveying, mapping and geographic information industry, continuously improving the supply level of natural resource elements, and contributing to the continuous and positive development of the economy.
