Abstract: Geological data is the basic information and valuable achievements formed in geological work activities such as geological surveys, mineral resource exploration, and geological scientific research. It is an important strategic information resource and data asset of the country, and also the basic guarantee for the development of the national economy and society. By analyzing the current situation of geological data management and services in China, investigating the new demands for geological data in the geological industry and current social development, sorting out problems and shortcomings, and providing countermeasures and suggestions for deepening the integration research and sharing application of geological data: ①to enhance the ability to gather resources and ensure effective supply of geological data; ②to improve management systems and further facilitate the sharing and utilization of geological data; ③to improve data development capabilities to ensure accurate and effective service products; ④to improve service methods and enhance service capabilities.
