Abstract:
The Matou gold deposit in Sichuan is controlled by tectonic fractured alteration zones. Through research on the characteristics of structural superimposed halos, the orebody exhibits a multi-element association of Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, W, Mo, As, Sb, Bi, Hg, Sn, Ag, and Au. Notably, As and Au show a good correlation and serve as indicator elements for prospecting. The ideal primary halo zoning sequence in the mining area is As-Sb-Hg-Ag (leading halo) → Pb-Cu (near-ore halo) → W-Sn-Mo-Bi (trailing halo). Combined with geological work, a structural superimposed halo model for Ore Zone No. 1 has been established. The deep prospecting target area has been predicted along Exploration Line No. 24, and the accuracy of the predicted target area has been verified through ZK2405. This indicates that the structural superimposed halo method is one of the effective methods for prospecting deep blind ore bodies in the Matou Gold Deposit.
