Abstract: In this paper, we studied comprehensively the geological features of the Ni-Mo Ore Deposit in Zhangjiajie, Hunan, including the geological setting, local stratigraphy, structural geology, properties of ore-body and ambient rocks, ore mineralogy, ore texture, and distribution of chemical elements associating Ni-Mo minerals. In addition, we reconstructed the lithofacies paleogeography, and discussed the geological indications to locate prospective area for facilitating the exploration and assessment for same-sort mineral ores in the region.
