Abstract:
The absorption range of diffuse reflectance infrared spectroscopy of natural jadeite are 400cm
-1-1200cm
-1. the absorption bands at 1190cm
-1, 1130cm
-1, 965cm
-1, 595cm
-1, 525cm
-1 are the characteristic absorption peak of diffuse reflectance infrared spectroscopy of natural jadeite. The absorption spectra bands at 34535 - 3620cm
-1 belong probably to OH- stretching bands of hornblende, the absorption bands of organic wax are at 2920cm
-1 and 2850cm
-1, which is features of natural jadeite polished with max or other organics. The wax or other organics content can be calculated on the basis of band intensity. The characteristic bands of jadeite B filled by high polymer with special group are at 3060、2966、2931、2857cm
-1. The band location and intensity of jadeite filled by various materials are different. The types of jadeite can be determined on the feature band's location and band intensity.
