Abstract: Water-inrush from collapse has become a major threat to safety production of coal mines. In order to understand research status and outlook of water-inrush from collapse column in china, the origin and distribution and hazards of collapse column are stated. Then the status of water-inrush from collapse column based on the formation mechanism, categories, water-inrush mechanism, water-inrush forecast and location of collapse column are summarized systematically. At the same time, the future development of the researches is forecasted.
