Abstract: By using numerical simulation of UDEC^2D and FLAC^3D,the bolt-mesh support to large sectional tunnel is designed and its feasibility is analyzed with respect to different thicknesses of top coal,under the conditions of thin top-coal,low stress and fractured coal seam beneath the mined gob.
