Abstract: Sample preparation is always the most time-consuming, the hard sledding, and also the easiest error introducing link of the total analyzing process for the iron ore sample. By the development of the analyzing apparatus, more and more instruments with high automaticity, speed-determination, high sensitivity and precision is being applied in the content analysis of the iron ore, such as the AAS, ICP-AES and ICP-MS, etc. There for, studing for the highly effective, fast and automated sample preparation technology of iron ore is one of the important projects. This paper has dealt with systematic contrast research to the current sample preparation technology of iron ore, which not only offered referential datum to be chosen in those sample preparations, but also provided a theory basis for the development direction to the iron ore sample preparation technology.
