Abstract: The Luzong volcanic basin is an important mineral production area which gets iron,sulfur,copper,lead,zinc,alunite,kaolin and other minerals.In order to solve the prospecting direction of the kaolin ores in this area,based on the past geological data collection,and combined with the geological survey,rock and mineral analysis and so on,in view of a series of comprehensive analysis and research of Liu Jiaao kaolin deposits.The result are as follows:the genetic type of the deposit is hydrothermal alteration and weathering type;ore natural type for the hard and soft kaolin;kaolin deposit formation is controlled by the original rock properties,volcanic hydrothermal activities,tectonic activities,intrusive rocks,weathering and leaching factors and so on;kaolin ore forming geological condition in the northeast area of the Luzong volcanic basin is superior and has further ore-prospecting
