Abstract: Copper resources,the industrial base of nonferrous metals,is indispensable to one nation's industrialization progress.Having analyzed the copper industrial situation and forecasted the demand,the author believes that the shortage of copper will exist until the completion of the industrialization.To solve the problem two measures have to be adopted.One is to strengthen the exploitation of domestic resources in moderation,and the other is to keep the rational importation of copper.Consumption and importation are of the same important to the sustainable and economical resources provision.
