Abstract:
A process of direct reduction roasting-magnetic separation was introduced to treat a chlorination volatilization slag with an iron content of 46.72%.The effects of processing parameters, such as dosage of reducing agent, dosage of active lime, roasting temperature, roasting time, and grinding fineness,on the iron recovery were important. The results indicated that the optimum parameters were proposed as follows:the mass ratio of chlorination volatilization slag, bituminous coal, and active lime of 100:25:10,the reduction temperature of 1150℃,the roasting time of 55 min,the first stage grinding size of 85% -0.074mm,the second stage grinding size of 90% -0.043mm.The direct reduction iron with iron grade of 91.20%,sulfur content of 0.05%,phosphorus content of 0.03%,and iron recovery rate of 85.18% was obtained under the optimum conditions.
