Abstract: The industrial type of No.Ⅳ-1 lead-zinc ore body of Halate Iron-lead-zinc deposit in the central Gobi province of Monglia is a skarn-type lead-zinc deposit.The outstanding characteristics of the ore deposit is is its high grade in lead-zinc.There is conditions for forming large-scale poly-metal deposit rich in lead zinc,silver atc and great potential for ore-exploration.Through review the exploration work of No.Ⅳ-1 lead-zinc ore body,the approach for ore exploration in the Gobi desert region is summarized(special topography method,color variation of surrounding rock,gravel method).
