Abstract: Currently, the coal plays a great part in the production and consumption structure of energy in our country. In the future, it will hold the master position. However, the environment has been greatly destroyed during the course of production, conveyance and the consumption of the coal. First of all, this paper analyses the influence of the district environment due to the development and utilization of coal. Afterwards, it presents the concept and principle of ecological environment evaluation of coal mining area. The index system of the evaluation has been established. Appling the method of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, the ecological environment evaluation model of coal mining area has been established.
