Abstract: This paper studied the geological data management and services in Britain,"decentralized storage,centralized services" have been summarized for the British geological data management and service.The construction of geosciences data center,service products,standard and informational of geological data in Britain has made remarkable achievements.Some suggestions have been proposed for the China geological data management and service including:strengthen the regression and management on the China geological data in foreign countries,accelerate the construction of the geosciences data center in China,develop special geosciences data service products for the "prospecting breakthrough and strategic action" and other topics.
