Abstract: The paper demonstrates that by "going abroad" to prospect and exploit mineral resources, Chinese mining enterprises shoulder important historic missions and heavy responsibilities in years to come. "Going abroad" offers both opportunities and challenges, and we can learn from foreign experiences. At the same time, measures must be taken to improve the "going abroad" system, so it isextremely essential to guarantee the enterprise "going abroad".
