Abstract: In this paper, author introduces the construction, operating method and mechanism of thedoube-steel-bars support. It is believed that the double-steel-bars support is suitable for excavationsin rocks with joint and soft-weak rocks. A lot of practice in which double-steel-bars havebeen used in production at Xishimen Iron Mine for almost two years confirmed that double-steelbarsand shotcrete can efficiently support the excavations in rocks with joint and soft-weak rocks.
