Abstract: Liaoning has abundant geotermal resources which have been exploited and utilized for a long time. Some sporadic surveys and researches were investigated into geothermal water in 1930s-40s,and the thermal spring areas were investigated after the liberation. Geothermal heating and geothermal tour have been becoming the emphasis of the geothermal resources immediate utilizing with the enhanceing living standard and the increasing demand of geotermal resources at present. For the method of geothermal prospecting and assessment is becoming mature,and the applying of new science and technology especially in this century,it's avaliable for the whole province geothermal resources prospecting. By gathering and analyzing the groundwork of Damintun town of Xinmin city,it's considered that there is commendable geotermal resources foreground in person.
