Abstract: The 78% of lithium resources in the world store in the salt lake brine,and the paper analyzed the distribution characteristics and metallogenic regularities of salt lake brine lithium deposits.The paper considered that the closed basin with fault activities,the dry climate and the tectonic activities in Cenozoic were the essential formation conditions of salt lake brine lithium deposits.On this basis,Nevadaa and Andes mineralizing potential area on the global scale(except China) were presented,meanwhile that the suggestions for the overseas prospecting of Chinese companies were presented for aiming at Andes prospective area.
