Abstract: The effects of native floatability,foam water recovery,variety and dosage of frother on slime floatability were investigated through the flotation experiments of fine slime,measurement of contact angle and determination of foam water recovery.The results show that foam entrainment is the main reason for slime entering into flotation concentrate.The slime is a kind of natural hydrophilic minerals,but foam water recovery is improved by the addition of frother,which results in foam entrainment.Variety of frother on slime float rate have different effects,and the degree of influence by butyldiglycol,MIBC and pine oil were reduced.It can be conclude that,reducing the impact of slime on tuff copper oxide ore flotation,the suitable type and dosage of froher is necessary.
