Abstract: In consideration with the practical conditions of the underground mined area in TAOCHONG,the possibility of caving in with the hanging wall and the potential damages are analyzed.A new technique about expanding the ceiling area of mined area and inducing the hanging wall to cave in itself is used.The technique is eventually proved successful as no accident happened during the caving in and the remnant ore in the mined area is recovered safely.
