Abstract: This paper introduces the general situation of manganese resources around the world(except China),including the amount of manganese resources,resources exploration levels,and manganese grades of the top-10manganese-rich countries;some manganese deposits are depicted with geological outlines,features of orebodies and their affiliated metallogenic belts;some countries are attached with manganese resources potentials and information about manganese exploitation;manganese resources distributed in the modern seabed as nodules are also discussed.Considering the geopolitics,international relations,investment policies,and infrastructure,the authors recommend to China's mining companies as follows while selecting the target countries:intensively strengthening cooperation with neighboring countries,paying closer attention to African countries,actively involving in the mining activities in Oceania and South America;also,more attentions need to be focused on the updating geological survey of global modern seabed manganese nodules resources.
