Abstract: As there are 6mining economic regions in Anhui province which is typical in China,this paper choose these regions as research object and analysis the development situation in order to evaluate the function and position of the mining economic regions since the establishment in 2008.The analysis process mainly focus on four parts,which are respectively resources reserves and exploitation,mining industry contribution to the local economic and mining economic policy.We found that the mining economic region plays an important role in promoting the mining development and local economics,mainly displays in:increasing the mineral resources reserves;promoting the exploration of mineral ores,pushing forward industrial structure adjustment and sustainable development of the local economy.More accurate positioning and corresponding policy are needed to promote the region's development.
