Abstract:
In this paper the average land damage coefficient was calculated according to the land damage coefficient based on landform types and land damage coefficient based on damaging types.During 2000-2010,the average land damage coefficient for the production of per ten thousand tons of coal was with an average value of 0.2509hm
2.The four factors that impose significant influences on coal mining scales were selected in this study to investigate their correlations to the land damage areas from different scales.Particularly, both multivariate and single variable regression equations were obtained. At the Shanxi province scale, the land damage area negatively correlated to the basic coal reserve and the arable land area, while positively correlated to the coal industry investment and the gross regional product.Similarly,at the coal production base scale, the land damage area in all three coal production bases were positively correlated to the gross regional product while negatively correlated to the arable land area.In contrast,at the coal production county scale, apositive correlation between the land damage area and the gross regional product was significant, whereas a negative correlation between the land damage area and arable land area can not be identified.Meanwhile,Shanxi province scale and coal base scale were the optimal scales on controlling land damage area based on gross regional product and arable land area.
