Abstract: It is a useful approach to construct tailing ore bin hy a large gob area which is fomed due to mining. It is necessary to evaluate the stability of surounding rocks of gob area be fore it is constructed as tailing ore bin. But when evaluating the stahility of surrounding rocks of large gob area, we can't adopt a model which is applied to evaluate stability for a general structure. The paper explores a modeling method for evaluating the stability of surrounding rocks of large gob area according to surrounding rock system and grourld surface environment of surrounding rocks respectively.
