Abstract: In order to improve the sorting index of a titanium plant in Panzhihua，a new collector ZF-02 was developed to deal with the fine ilmenite.A closed-circuit flow sheet comprising one roughing，one scavenging and three stages of cleaning，with using ZF-02 as a collector，sulfuric acid as pH value regulator and oxalic acid as a depressant，was adopted to deal with the mass fraction 22.85% of ilmente ore，resulting in an ilmenite concentrate with grade of 48.08% TiO₂ and recovery of 89.73%.Compared with MOH in production，ZF-02 not only has the advantages of good performance and price ratio，but also stable foam，a wide range of sources，non-toxic harmless (does not contain benzyl arsonic acid).
