Abstract: Strategic emerging industries have been a key for every country to deal with the financial crisis,realize economic rejuvenation,and occupy the commanding point in the international competition.At the same time,the development of strategic emerging industries will be inevitable to increase the demand for scarce mineral resources.Based on analysing the situation of the strategic emerging industries and introducing some advanced practice from developed countries,in this paper we propose the types of the mineral resources which are necessary for strategic emerging industries,introduce the state of the art for mineral resources exploitation,analyze the problems therein and give some suggestions for the corresponding problems.We hope our work can draw attention to the exploitation and development of the mineral resources which are essential for the development of strategic emerging industries.
