Abstract: Since the 21st century,the United States succeeded in developing shale oil and gas,and changed the supply and demand pattern of world energy,greatly stimulating many countries to concern about the shale oil and gas exploration and development.United States of American ways ahead in the commercial production of shale oil and gas resources,followed by Canada.Meanwhile,Australia is in its infancy and Europe is "easing" the regulation on shale oil and gas development.In Asia,China set off a boom in shale gas development,but unconventional shale oil and gas in its many regions is relatively untapped.Argentina became the pioneer of Latin American shale gas.Four North African countries also preparing to join the exploration and development of shale gas.Overall,with the exception of North America,the current shale oil and gas exploration and development in most countries in the world still in its early phase.Especially,the recent sharp decline in international oil prices slowed down the world's shale oil and gas development pace.
