Abstract: Mica is a kind of phyllosilicate mineral with unique properties.By introducing the crystal structure,and surface properties of mica,the mechanism between flotation reagents and mica mineral was discussed in detail.Then the development situation of mica flotation reagents was summarized from the aspects of collectors and depressants.Furthermore,the research progress of mica flotation process was reviewed and applications of traditional process,new technology and equipment were introduced through a series of examples.At last,the existed problems and research trend of mica flotation were also discussed briefly.
